A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of William Shakespeare's most enduring and accessible to audiences for these past 400+ years, and for good reason! It has unrequited love, rivalry, magic, fairies fighting like humans, humans fighting like beasts of the forest, and the original story of going into the woods to find out what you really wish, more than anything!

Michael’s vision for the production Colonial theater’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is to present it as a fantasy that can be seen through the eyes of a child. “One question I always ask myself when directing a show is ‘who’s dream is this play?’ Whose eyes are we seeing the world through? A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a childlike fantasy that can be seen through the eyes of the often-forgotten Changeling Child who is at the center of the fight between the celestial parents Oberon and Titania. This will be a wonderful community production that blends professionals with emerging artists in this celebration of love and reconciliation.”
